We actively monitor and reduce the environmental footprint of our tissue and packaging operations through:

• Responsible Sourcing: All tissue-grade paper is produced from 100% virgin pulp sourced from FSC-certified sustainable forests, ensuring that our materials support reforestation and responsible forestry management.
• Non-Toxic Inputs: We use water-based inks and biodegradable adhesives, eliminating the use of harmful solvents and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
• Recyclable Output: Every East Lines packaging product is 100% recyclable, and our tissues are biodegradable, ensuring minimal post-consumer environmental impact.

Through responsible resource management, we align our business operations with both UAE Vision 2030 and UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Energy Efficiency and Emission Reduction

Energy efficiency is a cornerstone of our sustainability program.
Our production facility in Umm Al Quwain has undergone multiple upgrades to improve energy use and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Key initiatives include:

• Energy-Efficient Machinery: Our converting and corrugating lines are powered by high-efficiency motors that consume less energy while maintaining precision.
• LED Lighting Systems: We have replaced traditional lighting with low-energy LED fixtures across all facilities.

East Lines has achieved a 22% reduction in energy usage per ton of output since 2021  - a milestone we plan to expand upon with solar power integration by 2026.

Water Conservation Initiatives

Our factory employs closed-loop water circulation systems that allow water reuse across multiple production stages.

• Process Water Recycling: Up to 40% of water used in tissue processing is recycled and purified for re-entry into the system.

Zero-Waste Manufacturing

Our goal is achieve zero waste to landfill through a circular production model.

We follow the “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” principle throughout our value chain:

• Paper Trim Reuse: All trimming waste from tissue and packaging lines is collected and recycled
• Corrugated Scrap Recycling: Corrugated sheet offcuts are converted into protective inserts or pallet liners.
• Minimal Packaging Design: We reduce packaging weight and use smart layout engineering to eliminate unnecessary materials.
• Supplier Collaboration: We work with our supply chain partners to minimize excess packaging and encourage reusability of transport materials.
